Adolfo Membrila

Principal and Designer

Adolfo Membrila is the Principal of Membrila Designs. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design. He is bilingual in English and Spanish and has used his extensive travels to refine his design aesthetic. He is comfortable working in a wide range of periods and styles to accommodate the needs of his clients. Adolfo is focused on building a better future and improving the quality of life for his clients. In his spare time, Adolfo is an avid soccer fan and enjoys participating in the sport. Adolfo is also a published author.

Kenneth Ferhman

Design Consultant

Dr. Kenneth R. Fehrman is a consultant in interior design, color, and light. He earned his doctoral degree from the University of San Francisco, specializing in color/light and its effects. He is an Emeritus Professor of Interior Design at San Francisco State University and has been a color consultant and interior designer for the past thirty-five years. He has also taught graphic design, environmental design, textiles, fashion design, and aesthetics at the University of California, Canada College, and The Rudolph Schaefer School of Design. Dr. Fehrman is a member of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA), the Interior Design Educators Council(IDEC), the Inter-Society Color Council (ISCC), and SLTBR (Society for Light Treatment and Biological Rhythms). Together with his wife and business partner, Cherie Fehrman, Dr. Fehrman has authored several hundred articles about color and design and is the co-author of Color: The Secret Influence, now in its fourth edition, covering the physiological, psychological, and sociological effects of color; and Postwar Interior Design: 1945-1960 covering the iconic designers and designs on which contemporary design is based. Currently, he continues his color/light research and consults in the areas of interior design and architecture.

Cherie Ferhman

Lighting and Color Specialist

Cherie has worked in various fields of design for many years, including interior design, color consulting, antiques, textiles, and lighting design. She is also a published author with several books and over two hundred articles on design and the decorative arts and three novels written under pseudonyms. She is very focused on environmentally friendly design and lighting systems, and she favors an eclectic style incorporating contemporary with vintage pieces.

Catalina Membrila

Project Manager

Catalina Membrila is the head of Project Management for Membrila Designs. Catalina has had extensive experience from managing various contractors for construction projects to managing art projects for world-known artists. Catalina loves to spend her spare time studying the human body and how holistic health works.
